This weekend’s Premier League fixtures could potentially be overshadowed by the four FA Cup quarter final ties taking place. Several league games have been rescheduled as six of the remaining eight FA Cup participants are Premier League teams.
However, there is plenty riding on the five league games still going ahead and InterBet are here to offer match previews and odds across them all. All three games taking place on Saturday kick off at the traditional time of 3 o’clock and could have a huge impact on the bottom half of the Premier League table.
AFC Bournemouth vs Newcastle United
The importance of this game would be far more considerable for both sides were it not for their crucial league wins last time out. Both Bournemouth and Newcastle were looking nervously over their shoulders in the battle for Premier League safety but wins against Huddersfield Town and Everton respectively have eased their relegation concerns somewhat.
Newcastle make the long trip south on Saturday afternoon in what is now a finely-poised mid-table fixture.
Form suggests a home win could be on the cards at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth are now just a single point shy of matching last season’s tally of 26 points at home in the Premier League. Their return of 25 points at home is the highest outside of the top six. In contrast, Newcastle have earned just two points in their last six away league games.
Scoring goals away from home seems to be Newcastle’s biggest problem this season. The Magpies have found the back of the net just ten times in fourteen away league games this season. A 1-0 win for the home side is available at 53/10.
Match Odds
AFC Bournemouth – 109/100
Draw – 237/100
Newcastle United – 261/100
Burnley vs Leicester City
With Cardiff City not in action this weekend, Sean Dyche’s Burnley can move five points clear of the relegation zone with a win on Saturday. To do so, Burnley will need to halt a run of three consecutive league defeats. The Clarets have never lost four Premier League games in a row.
Their opponents, Leicester City, will be hoping to consolidate their position in the top half of the table under new boss, Brendan Rodgers. The former Celtic boss replaced Claude Puel earlier this month and has already claimed the same number of wins (two) in his three league games in charge that Puel managed in his last eight as Foxes boss.
Leicester City talisman, Jamie Vardy, limped out of their recent defeat at Watford but bounced back in their next game to fire in two goals against Fulham. With four goals in three games since Rodgers’ appointment, Vardy will be the visitors’ main goal threat on Saturday. You can back Vardy to score at any time at Evens with InterBet.
Burnley’s own in-form attacker, Ashley Barnes, is aiming to become the first Clarets player to score in four successive home games in the Premier League. Barnes is 11/10 to find the net on Saturday and 7/2 to score first.
Match Odds
Burnley – 203/100
Draw – 9/4
Leicester City – 141/100
West Ham United vs Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield Town’s relegation may move one step nearer on Saturday as the hapless Terriers travel to London where they’ll take on West Ham United.
Huddersfield defied the odds last season to retain their Premier League status but this season has seen them claim just three wins and a mere 14 points from their 30 games so far. With just eight games to go in what has been a disappointing season Huddersfield are already 16 points from safety.
Hosts, West Ham United, are looking to consolidate their place in the top half of the Premier League. The Hammers are unbeaten at the London Stadium so far in 2019 and could win at the ground for a third consecutive game – a feat they’ve never previously achieved.
West Ham have never lost to Huddersfield Town in the Premier League and won this fixture 2-0 last season. A repeat of that result is available at 57/10.
Felipe Anderson remains West Ham United’s top scorer this season but has not scored in any of his last eleven games. You can back the Brazilian to end his drought with a tempting 11/8 available on Felipe Anderson to score any time.
Defender, Declan Rice, has been in the news this week. Rice received his first England call-up on Thursday, just 24 hours after being named as Ireland’s Young Player of the Year. Rice is 7/1 to score for a second consecutive home game. Alternatively, he is a huge 18/1 to score first.
Match Odds
West Ham United – 3/5
Draw – 57/20
Huddersfield Town – 49/10
